Model 4157. These 6 ply shells have really stood the test of time and the die cast hoops give a great backbeat and solid crack using an Ambassador coated batter head. There are some extra holes drilled around a period replacement strainer that tarnish its beauty but not its great Gretsch sound.

5 line Rogers Dynasonic Snare, Chrome over Brass. The legendary invention of the 1960s was their patented snare frame which the snares laid on. The entire snare frame would then touch on the bottom head. According to the Rogers History it was Buddy Rich who said he wanted a snare drum that at low and high levels and not fall apart. From the 1920s through the 1950s, the Gretsch flagship drum set was the legendary Broadkaster Series. It featured a thin, three-ply shell and produced what was to be, “That Great Gretsch Sound.” This one sounds great and is currently in the restoration process.

This is a late 1920s Ludwig & Ludwig single bent Mahogany shell with Maple reinforcing rings. Purchased from the original owner in 1985 as part of a trap set and came with the painted bass drum, hanging Ludwig cymbals and low boy and cymbals to match, including a travel snare case. The Matte finish seamless beaded LM-404 Aluminum shell with Bowtie Lugs is similar to a Supraphonic without the high cost – this drum plays and records extremely well. A very unusual, rare and difficult to find 90s-00s era snare features a hammered steel shell that adds tonal complexity, depth and dryness to the typical bright and penetrating sound of Tama's steel shell. One of the more flexible drums I have ever see and/or played. Huge sound in a small drum! Remo Coated Controlled Sound with reverse dot on the batter head and this thing sings!! Slingys from this era are a hidden gem that is loved once drummers realize the amazing sound and construction of this period for Slingerland. This is an incredible sounding snare and the model for what future COBs would become.

Purchased new around 1980 from a Drum shop in New Jersey from the shop owner who ordered it for a customer but was never picked up. 5 x 14 with gold hardware, die cast hoops, white marine pearl finish and has a gold snare as well. I have never seen one like it online - this is spectacular. No serial number. Gray painted inside, 10 lug - looks like 10 ply- this Drum is heavy. Never been played with all original everything including heads.

This is a 1962 Slingerland 3-ply Snare Drum in excellent condition. It’s a 3-ply shell of Maple/Poplar/Maple with maple reinforcement rings in a gorgeous natural finish. The shell looks amazing and does not appear to have any visible nicks or scars and likely the original finish which still looks amazing. The chrome looks great with little to no issues. This 6 lug beauty is easy to tune and stays in tune with a traditional warm-woody sound.
Gorgeous Ludwig Pioneer Snare date stamped May 7, 1964. All original hardware including baseball bat muffler. Cleaned up well with some expected yellowing given the WMP from that era and minor blemishes on rims. New Remo Ambassador Coated Classic head on top, Ludwig Clear C1114 on In 1964, Ludwig began coating the interior of Pioneer snare drums with its patented, white Reza Cote that the company said, “provides superior tone and response found in more expensive models.”
Workshop Series are the same as Collectors Series with the same hardware and bearing edges, they were made in Oxnard, CA with "PDP Like" lugs to distinquish from the Collectors series. The Workshop Series was a set that was offered to the working drummer at a lower price point, but with the DW high quality in every way.
