A Super Supra!

Here is a really interesting snare.

A 1984 5 x14 Ludwig Supraphonic Snare. Large Keystone Monroe NC badge and LM400 Ludaloy shell with NO pitting - the shell is perfect.

I am still researching the shell as plenty of Supra's newer than this have excessive pitting and man this one is spectacular. Typically there is a Ludaloy sticker inside the shell as shown below but not this particular snare.

This beauty has 10 Imperial lugs and the classic P85 2-hole strainer.

There are a number of these snares floating around with Bowtie lugs as the rumor is Ludwig was looking to reduce inventory and parts before moving operations to North Carolina.

I added a number of critical items to bring this up the current playing standards:

- Remo Controlled Sound coated batter head

- Ambassador Hazy on the Snare side

- PureSound Blaster wires with Grosgrain Ribbon on one side and new stock Ludwig string on the other side which has the 2 holes

- Hendrix Sleeved Washers

Tunes up perfect and very flexible low, medium and high tones make this ready to go right into a recording session.
